02 Jacob Christman (b.1706 in Germany and was part of the Palatine Immigration of 1710) (d.1790 in Ephratah, N.Y.) His grave is behind a farm-house on Eaker Road above a wetland, which was Lot 11 of the Stone Arabia Patent, 3rd Division.

The Indian blood in the Mohawk Valley Christman family originates with Jacob. He was an Indian interpreter, he knew Conrad Weiser & King Hendrick, and he fought in the French & Indian War under Sir William Johnson.


The Children

All of the Christman children listed here were possibly half-Indian and quite possibly among a group of mixed-blood-Palatines from Canajoharie and Stone Arabia who were sarcastically called "Klock's Indians" who were allied with Hanyery. At least the first five were born in Canajoharie near the Indian Castle where King Hendrick was the Sachem, before moving to Stone Arabia.
